Oh hey - I forgot to post this up....it was a card I did for our anything goes challenge over at Aud Sentiments - but life got busy and I just found this waiting to go up!  Seems a waste to not post it!

Aud Sentiments - Any Sentiment

Gotta just leave these easy ones we are getting lately!  This is our "settling in" challenge - first challenge for our new DT - YAY!  We have such a great team - I just know that I never would have been selected if I had been competing for a place against this lot!

I am trying very hard to improve my colouring at the moment - this image, from DTSarts, took an absolute age to colour in, but I am so chuffed at how it turned out!

Crochet bedspread!

Over the Christmas hols, I finally worked out how to crochet.  I then decided I would try and crochet a square....the square grew.  "What are you making?" friends and family asked.  "I dont know", I replied.  

I had this vague idea I would stop when I got bored.  Well, I got bored...and stopped - I now have a double bedspread - or a very nice warm throw blanket - its crazy heavy!

As you can see, I need to wash and block it - gotta find out how to do that now!

Phew - what to do next I wonder?

New Craft Area!

In the midst of losing my mum, we were changing my crafty area!  It was a bit hectic to say the least!

 Teeniest bit embarrassed by this one!  Lol - normally it looked tidier than this!  I also had a large cupboard behind me with crafting stash in it. 

So, take one gorgeous hubby.....add a great big pile of boxes....

 This was the beginning of shifting stuff around....I laughed when I saw this and noticed the plate on the floor...gonna blame the child!

 ...but I guess I need to fess up that the yoghurt pot was mine! As you can see, I literally stopped mid-colouring - hence the copics out of their box! 

 ooo the shame of it - how did I ever get my legs under the table?  I blame the crafty weekend - I got sooo many goodies!  

We thought we would put up one cupboard and just move stuff into it - then move onto the next cupboard...

This was day two....notice the different colour tshirt?  ...and more cupboards are up!

 ...little shake to test they stayed up....looking good!  

 First things in the cupboard?....Copics!!!!

 Then we discovered our slight hitch - no not the one where Tony had to take off the socket because its an oldish house and they are surface mounted (they stick out!)....No, not the one where we discovered the radiator, which is under the table, didnt fit so we had to cut a chunk out the back of the cupboard....

This particular hitch was the lack of two cupboard doors! 

 Got the doors - then started loading the cupboards!...

Needed somewhere for my inspirations pics - these are things Josh has made and also cards other crafters have sent me.  Aspirational!

Lol - not a picture of the lizard!  More a picture of the cutting machines - behind the eclips is my ecraft!  Need to find a home for these - Gwim Weaper (the lizard) gets a bit puzzled by the noise!

Just about done now!  My room looks alot tidier now - in fact, its even tidier since this pic was taken.  YAY!

Well, hopefully, now that Mum's funeral is done (terribly sad, but went well), I can get to do some crafting soon.  The girls from Aud Sentiments have been fabulous whilst I have been away - hugs to you all - and thanks to my lovely crafty mates who have sent me messages and love.

Hiya all

I know its been very quiet over here - it will be for a little while yet too.  My mum passed away last Wednesday.  As you can imagine, we are all devastated!  I just wanted to pop on and say I havent disappeared and normal service will be resumed later - it has to, mum always loved to watch me colour x

Aud Sentiments - Spring/Summer Colours

Oh, its been a while!  I lost my mojo, then got diagnosed with neuralgia (ouch - not known as the suicide syndrome for nothing! - nerve pain is not nice!), then went on holiday!  Its been busy in the real world, so crafting has taken a backseat.  Well, I say that, I have made some jewellery, knitted two scarves on holiday and been crocheting my bedspread - so maybe its just cardmaking thats taken a backseat!

Soooo, it took me a while to get onto this challenge - but then once I got going, I did two cards - but you have to wait for the second one as its my next dt piece!  Get me!  All up to date now!

This time over at Aud Sentiments, we are looking for you to produce something in spring or summer colours - how cute!  Whilst I was on holiday I popped in to visit Samantha from Penrith Crafts - love having a jaw workout (chat) with her!  It was a flying visit, but she gave me a beautiful card to take home....so this one will be winging its way to Cumbria to her (as soon as I post it!!!).

Aud Sentiments - Song Title

Love this challenge! We did a similar one recently over at Delicious Doodles and I chose Voodoo Woman.  Well this time I we are sponsored by Limited Runs and I chose this image to go with the good old Lionel Richie song!  

Everything was cut out using my eclips!  Oooo get me!  Two cutter gal!  Lol - I won it at a craft fayre, so am playing with both the eclips and the ecraft!  Lucky lucky!

Aud Sentiments - Happy Birthday

Such a nice, straight forward challenge this time!  We just needed to use the sentiment "Happy Birthday" - well, thats an easy one.  And then it got even better - I realised we were using Bugaboo images!  YAY!  

I was a bit pushed with this card, so I decided to make the image all that mattered! 

I just love this image - she makes me smile everytime - when I get to her age...that's what I am gonna look like - except I will need to have pink hair, or purple, or ...actually, just pink or purple!

Ok -thats me done for today - sorry I am a bit tight on time - it will ease off soon and I will be hop hop hopping around to visit everyone again!

Delicious Doodles - Music to sooth the soul

Here we go again, Happy as can be, All good friends, And Jolly good company!  Did you like my little song?  I hope so as we want you to base your project on a song over at Delicious Doodles this time.  

The song I chose was Voodoo Woman by Bobby Goldsboro (1967 - when I was born!).  OK, I have to admit that the image came before the song for me!  Just love Teri's Voodoo Woman so had to find a song to go with it and picked this one!  Its quite funny actually, well worth a listen.

I decided to blitz some of my scraps - I had a peek through some magazines and based this (very loosely) on a design there.

Isnt she gorgeous?  Last time I used her I gave her dark hair, but thought I would go for errrrr...yeah, whatever colour that is!

Aud Sentiments....HAPPY!

Hiya on this bright sunny day ....pssst....am preparing this post on Saturday...am so hoping it will be a bright sunny day when it goes live...dont tell anyone!

Over at Aud Sentiments we are being sponsored by AI factory for our challenge to use the word "HAPPY" on our projects.  Paulette, from TLC also gave us another sentiment to use on the challenge - how fabby!  So, I combined the two and came up with this....

I dont usually use orange, but fancied a change!  Here is a closeup on the image from AI Factory.

All the "bits" (frame, flowers, border, leaves) were cut out using my ecraft - and the ribbon was brought home from work by hubby!

Quickie Monster card!

Thought I would have a bit more fun with my ecraft - I keep saying I am going to use it more!  So, I decided I would cut some of the really basic shapes out - so I chose Monsters from Lettering Delights!

"A quick card" me thought!  And it was, until I decided I would print straight onto card - then my laptop wouldnt talk to the printer via the router...after 40 mins of messing about I eventually got them all to work together - I think they had had a row!  I am going to consider a career as a mediator!

So - here was the card!  I know its basic, but I thought it would be a good standby - and I am making some for my local animal sanctuary to sell and this just took scraps and some white card so cost pennies!  

For a basic card, with no huffle puffle, I think it came out ok!

CRAFTY WEEKEND!!!!

Hey all.  Following our crafty weekend last year, you saw one or two posts - most of them saying how much we chatted and how much we laughed!  Oh, and how fabby the goodie bag was!

Its happening again this year - different location - and oh my, you wanna see that place!  In fact....eyes right!  Yep, there it is, at the top of the sidebar!

We had a seriously good time - and yes, we were all nervous about meeting strangers!  But we all got on with it and let our shared love of crafting (at whichever level we were at) take over.  Come on - how many grumpy crafters do you know???

Delicious Doodles - Pink to make the Boys Wink!

 Over at Delicious Doodles we are getting PINK!!!  Mwah ha ha!  I love PINK!  I thought this would be a cool challenge to show Teri's images dont have to be all dark and mysterious - they can be pink..and mysterious!!! 

I thought I would make a tag, for a change...in fact, I suspect this is my first tag that I have made!  I inked the background of the tag (which was cut from a Lettering Delights files on my ecraft) and then used frame, corners and border cut on the ecraft. 

Here is a close up of that fabby image!  I love the figure on this gal!
