So easy, its almost naughty!

Josh only has a few more weeks to go before he leaves primary school.  Seems incredible that he is ready for secondary school - but he is - he has his two days of induction next week!

So, I have been all organised and sorted out the choccy bars for his friends.  And - it was so quick I almost feel guilty!  ALMOST!

So - a nice little step-by-step!.....yes - it is tongue in cheek!
Step One - go to Tesco and find the best deal you can on 30 choc bars - CLUBs won the day for me - pack of 24 - half price - Two packs for under £4....and plenty left over!

Step Two - remove the wrappers, measure and make replacements!  This is actually really easy - I used inkscape to pre-colour the image that Josh chose, then pasted it into word to do the actual covers.  I find it easier to get these done in word - not sure why really as I use inkscape for just about everything else!

Step Three....print, cut out and replace the wrappers - glue stick does a great job and is cheaper than my double sided runner thingy.

Step Four - take the beauty shot!  Lol!  These took about 15 mins to get them all re-wrapped again - an absolute breeze!

Step Five - errrr, there isnt one - thats it!  Oh no, hang on - STEP FIVE!>.... make sure you remember to give them to your child on the right day and that he remembers to give them out!  Sounds daft, but last summer we made lots of sweetie bags and he forgot to hand them out!

Well, thanks for popping over - hope you are having the lovely weather we are today!

Cute and Cuddly - Delicious Doodles

Our challenge over at Delicious Doodles this week is cute and cuddly.  I saw this image a while ago and have been waiting to use it, so this seemed the perfect opportunity....

.... at least it seemed the perfect opportunity until Josh piped up...."you do know they've probably just finished ripping a seal apart don't you?".  Then it got better "....and they probably have bits of seal and blood all round their teeth!".  Gotta love these 11 year olds!

Well, lets hope the other DT have tackled this one better than I have!  LMBO!

This is inside the card - think I have been a little understated again!!!

Quickie 18th with the ecraft!

Oh - so quick, so easy!  Love it!

We had forgotten a relative's birthday so I just did this up really quickly!

Cut everything out on my ecraft - so easy!  I just love this machine - no sticky mats - and I never use tabs, its a risk, but it means the bits just drop out!  I did dry embossing on the paper at the back - its a fiskars pattern I think!

Gotta dash - thanks for checking in with me

Delicious Doodles - One for Dad

You know when you spot an image and just know you need to use it...and who its for?  Well, this was most certainly one of THOSE images.

DH has always loved old planes and stuff - so, as soon as Teri did this one, I just knew who it was for!  Looking down the upcoming challenge list (get us...organised or what?) I spotted the perfect challenge - ONE FOR DAD!  This has got to be a bit of a gift of a challenge - lots of people (I appreciate not all) need to do Father's Day cards, so why not enter them into the challenge?

There we go then, short and sweet today!  Please take time to pop on over to Delicious Doodles and see the fabby DT work - and, why not chuck a card into the challenge!

Aud Sentiments - ReviDevi

When I saw the images from ReviDevi, they just cried out to be used with felt.  Then I didnt!  But, it got me going on doing something to a bag - so I did!

My Mum was the model as long as I didnt show her face!  Aw bless!  I put some of the images together and then went and did battle with the printer...which decided it would screw the transfer paper up (twice) and leave a black line across the bird and butterfly at the top of the image....so I did what every good crafter does and cut them off!

I used the full image for the card which goes with it!  And see the little flower in the corner - well this was a Top Tip Tuesday suggestion from my pal Samantha at Penrith Crafts - it involved using the paper candy to make a little flower - toooooo cute - why not pop over and see the other things they are doing over there?

And here are the two together - I cut the butterflies from felt using a Stampin Up embosslit and then just glued them on.  Ok, well the challenge theme may not be completely obvious from this - but its Summertime!  YAY!  Gotta love that theme!  Almost as good as an "Anything goes" theme!

With a theme this easy, why not take a chance and have a go at the challenge over at AudSentiments!

Thanks for popping by today

Delicious Doodles - lots of texture

Good morning!  The challenge over at Delicious Doodles this week is to use lots of texture.  I had absolutely came to a stop on this one until I saw a new home notelet set that CG had on her site.  She had embossed the box the set was in...so, I left a message to say thanks for the inspiration and happily ran off to errrr nick the idea!  Then I sat down and altered a notebook!!!

I ran it through the big shot with a Stampin Up embossing folder, chalked the raised bits, added glossy accents.  I then looked at my table and spotted the felt butterflies - happy days!  A bit of glitter later and I ended up with this.  Oooo the felt butterflies were a Stampin Up embosslit.  Felt works wonderfully with these (the embossing doesnt show up, but I really just wanted the shape).  I than sat down feeling virtuous that I had done the challenge (been a bit dry for challenges lately) - and noticed I hadnt even included a Delicious Doodles image!  Sorry Teri!!!  Lolx

I would also like to enter this in the following challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown wanted us to make our own embellishments
Flutterby Wednesdays wanted to see butterflies
Truly Scrumptious wanted to see some summer sparkle (it is on there, honest! the centres of the flowers and on the butterflies!)
Charisma Cardz want to see things with wings
Pixie Dust Studios want to see home-made embellies
Fairy Tale Challenges are looking for anything but a card
Allsorts Challenges also want to see things with wings

Can I just add a little thank you to all the DT members who come round and look at challenge entries - I do this for a couple of teams too and I know it can take absolutely ages - so thanks for your time and your encouraging comments!
