My first box card...

Another first - a box card!  Got this file from SVG Cuts in a bundle of Christmas themed cards.

On a bit of a flyer - but just to say that this made the perfect WOW card for family who do not celebrate Christmas.

Funny what lengths you go to to get a good photo - hence lying on the floor as the cat exits the cat flap!!!

Happy crafting guys

Quick rustle up!

Isnt there always someone you forget????  We had a visit over from some new neighbours yesterday, and they brought a box of chocolates -eeeeek!  So - a quick rustle up this morning and we have a little something for their children.  Phew!

The test-tubes are plastic ones from ebay and they are filled with mini smarties (which are now natural colours, so no bright reds!).  They were hanging from our tree as decorations!  Hey, ho - still have another 8 of them!

I cut the template with my ecraft (of course) and the gems and ribbon are from my "Crafty Weekend" goody bag!

AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Little Christmas Wreath

I keep seeing this sort of thing around and thought I would have a go.  Not overpleased with it - but dont hate it!

I made the paper rosettes. The flowers, little gold berries and white snowflakey stuff (love the technical term?) are all from my crafty weekend goody bag!

The wreath is only about 6 inches wide, so its not big.  Small enough for our fireplace x

I think its a little plain - anyone got any good suggestions?  Do I add some more rosettes in the gaps (perhaps in a lighter colour?)?

Have just added a middle bit in....better/worse?

Thanks for popping by!

Aud Sentiments - Christmas

Hiya all

Thats it - I have officially caught the Christmas Spirit!  YAY! I had to wait until the Christmas Tree went up - but the second it did...ping!

Our challenge over at Aud Sentiments is to use a winter holiday sentiment.  So that would include Christmas, Hannukah....erm, yeah....and.......erm, anything else you can think of!!!!

For this challenge we are so excited to have Prairie Fairy as our sponsor. They are giving the winner a $15 Gift Certificate to their store. They gave us some digis to play with - I am going to be using one later on, but for the actual challenge I have gone with the free sentiment from Paulette of TLC She is giving a prize away to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

Here is the sentiment.....
and, here is my project!  I have to say it was nice and quick - and easy!  But it looks really great on the shelf where we usually put the tissues - such a change to have a decorated box.

And a close up of the sentiment....

And thats me done for today - gotta rush off now, but I look forward to seeing all your entries!

Team Christmas Presents

I have a great team at work, in libraries.  They go out and do all the visits and promotion for us - and they are really lovely people - and boy, they work so hard!

I always want to buy them a little something, but it has to be the same sort of thing for each of them (no favourites) and it cant be too expensive (there are seven of them).  So I thought I would do the same as I did last year and just buy sweeties.  I decided to pretty up the tops and this is what the finished one looks like:

The image is from Bugaboo - so cute!  I added sakura glitter pen to the beak, bells, belt and antlers.  I then covered the beak and bells with crystal effects, love how they look.  And finally, a little glitter!

These have to stay in a bag under my stairs, so I am not going to stick the rest of the toppers on until the day, that way I dont run the risk of them getting ripped or scrunched.

Hope everyone is feeling in the Christmas Spirit!

Thanks for stopping by - Rx

Aud Sentiments - Anything Holiday!

We had some seriously fabby entries last time, it was great looking at them all.

This time the theme is any winter holiday sentiment and we have  Polka Doodles as our sponsor. She is giving the winner The entire Magical Winter CD Set! . She also gave us a couple of images to play with.

We are also having a little play with a new idea - Paulette at Create With TLC. is giving everyone a sentiment to play with each challenge, makes it much easier to join in methinks! You dont have to use it, its there if you choose to!
Please stop by her blog and give her a big Thank You for joining us in our challenges and making such beautiful sentiments. She also has a many freebies on her blog and a ton for sale in her store.

Here is the sentiment.....
....and here is my DT entry.

I cut the little pyramind box out of a Lettering Delight file on my ecraft.  The image is Polkadoodles and the snowflakes were also cut out on the ecraft.....then glittered to within an inch of their lives!

I coloured the image with copics - am having lots of fun with these still.  I am loving the results I get.

And lots of faux stitching - I pinced the faux blanket stitch technique from Scrappy, one of the other DT girls - her link is in my sidebar!

And thats me done for today, dont think anyone has noticed that I didnt include a sentiment eh? - hope you all have a fabby time!

Ha ha - love this image!  Used it for Thanksgiving....now here it is for Christmas!

Strange how different they look when everything but the background paper is the same!

Icicles and a card

This is for my son' s head teacher.  I really like how it turned out.  I copied the edging from the image and put it onto the sentiment to keep it all in line.
And the next few pics were taken by Josh when we had icicles hanging from our sun lounge...it was cold!
Keep warm - and thanks for visiting!

Mum and Mother-in-law cards - yes, more xmas cards - gotta get these up before 2011!

This card is for my lovely Mother-in-law...its a little bit difficult doing Christmas cards for the Jewish side of the family...but this Bugaboo image made me laugh!
And this card is for my mum.  Mum has a cat (sister to my two cats) who would definitely bend the tree over if she tried to climb it!

Image is from Mo Manning!

Money holders

One of my "to-do" things from earlier this week, was to do the money holder thingies for some family members.  These are for three sisters so I just did  them all the same, but made sure their names were on them.
Pic of the inside - yeah, guess you probably didnt need me to write that!
You really cant see it in these pics but I did glitter them....but, other than that, they were print, cut and glue!  Fabulous!  Dont be too impressed, they were on a website and I just cant quite remember which one...its the one that if you search for kids printables it comes up - DK something???

Oh well, sure you will find it - if you cant, leave me a comment and I will send you the link!

More Donkey Christmas Cards!

I love this image...and I am so sorry but I cant remember where it came from!  I used it for another card - for the dinner ladies at Josh's school.  These cards are for the secretary and the classroom assistant.

I have wanted to do a plain white card for a while...just havent done one! It fits in with Pollycrafts Challenge too!  Die Cut Dreams also have a challenge of a Christmas Carol - Little Donkey!

My little white card also meets the challenge over at Crafty Pad which is to show embossing - you might need to click on the pic to see it!  See?  The snowflake pattern behind the image!

I really like how it came out - and the other one is more traditional - I seem to have an awful lot of Christmas paper left over...gonna have to find a use for it all - feel some ornaments coming on!

Gotta dash - have a fabby day!

Couple of Bugaboo Crimbo Cards

.....and right here is why I like Bugaboo!  Nope, you didnt come in half way, nope there is nothing messing from the top of this post...yep, I did start a sentance midway through a thought!

Both these images are Bugaboo and they couldn't be more different!

The Penguin one is for a friend at work - just way toooo cute!  I glittered up pearls to make them look like snowballs.  Have just seen the challenge at Bugaboo and it is Winter Wonderland with lots of glitter and shine - well this one fits that!

Well, think you might guess that the other one is for ANOTHER of Josh's teachers.  Just love the simplicity of that series of images.  This one fits with Die Cut Dreams challenge for a Christmas Carol - Oh little Town of Bethleham!

Anyway, enough praise of Bugaboo - will get kicked off Delicious Doodles DT (just joking!  Teri is fab, and very easy going!)

Thanks for popping by today!

Christmas Cottage

How sweet is this image?  And soooo much glitter!  But what an awful picture!  The colours on this are so off - the background colour is actually red!  Oh well!

I coloured with Promarkers and glittered it to within an inch of its life!!!

The image is from Delicious Doodles and is available in the shop now - just click on the logo at the side!

Hope you have a fabby Sunday!

Snowman cards for teachers

Another couple of cards destined for school.  So nice and quick and easy!

I dont actually give Christmas cards!  No really, I used to go and buy them (gasp!), write them, address them and then not give them out!  So, I gave up on the whole thing!......until my son and hubby and family and friends started asking me to make Christmas cards for them to give!

Well, at least I dont have to remember to give them!

Cards for Men have a challenge to make Christmas Cards for Men - I made some prior to these, but these are my latest!

Thanks for looking

Christmas Tree and Christmas Banner

Here is the finishing touch to our Christmas Tree!  We have had this quirky (butt naked) fairy/angel, since we got our first tree as Growed Ups...so she is a little precious to us!  And, since he has been tiny, Josh has always sat on Tony's shoulders to put the angel on the tree.  But not this year!  Yep, he is just toooooo big.

We have been joking that Tony will be sitting on Josh's shoulders next year!

We have a special narrow tree (our house is not big so it fits in the fireplace really nicely).  Excuse the mess!  We buy a new ornament every year to add to our collection...getting a bit full now!  And yes, the cat is choosing which one to grab and run off with first!

And....you can see another of our traditions there...Pringles!  When we are decorating we always share a pack of pringles - hee hee, some traditions are great!

...and here we are in front of the tree!  Excuse the ratty hair and no makeup!  Our 10 year old looks so big!
This is the banner I made - have wanted to make one of these for a while...we put it in the other fireplace!  Excuse the "impaled" nativity - its not sacriligious - honest!  Josh "reorganises" it every day, so you never know quite what it will look like!

In fact, this shot misses out the mysterious penguins who keep encroaching on the scene!

This banner meets the challenge over at Gingersnaps to use white glitter - there is white glitter all the way round the edge of the penants and around all the letters

Thanks for looking
