Aud Sentiments - DT CALL!!

Hello Hello!

Its been ages and I am a week late with this post!  I have a reason, really - I am doing an RE course (in case I get made redundant from libraries!) so that I can go and apply to become a secondary school teacher.  Phew!  Eventually I got to make this card!  I dont normally fret too much about missing the odd challenge because Aud (and Teri for my other DT) is really chilled if we cant contribute...thanks hun!

We are losing a couple of our DT members (Carolina and Piali :(), so we are having a DT call!

All you have to do to apply is put DT next to your challenge entry over at Aud Sentiments Challenges.

The term will be for 4 months.
Your duties will be...
Comment on the entries
Make a card/project every other week
Be active in our Yahoo group
Have fun
We are a very laid back group and craft to have fun and get to know other crafters so if all that sounds good to you we would love to see you apply.

OK, now onto the challenge...

We are so lucky to welcome Whimsie Doodles as our sponsor for this challenge. If you haven't seen any of their images you need to go check them out. They are adorable and so easy to work with.

They are giving the winner a $10 Gift Certificate to the store.

So with us having the DT call we are doing another "Anything Goes" challenge so that you can really show us your stuff!

Whimsie Doodles very kindly gave us some images to play with - but I particularly wanted to use an image from their fundraiser for the SPCA.

This card was one of those real toughies - if it could go wrong it did!  Lol.

Please do have a go at the DT call - or just go along and play in the ANYTHING GOES challenge.

Thanks for popping by today

25th Anniversary card

Our lovely boss at working is celebrating her 25th anniversary this week, so I have popped out a card for her...

I used centura pearl in white and embossed it through my big shot with a fiskars plate - yes these really DO work with the big shot.  I then mounted it onto some more centura silver and used blue as my main backing.  The punch is from stampin up, as is the whisper white ribbon.  The "25" I did on my ecraft with MTC - gotta love it!

The inside - with a piccy of them from their wedding - dont let anyone tell you that you cant get pictures off facebook!  You need to use the snipping tool to do it though, you cant just right click and save.

I googled the verse and liked this one best - didnt want it too slushy!  Printed it in light grey.

And a pic with George!  See that little black speck?  Yep, that's George - some sort of buggy thing!  Luckily he didnt decide to stay!   Phew!

I have entered this into the following challenges:-

C.R.A.F.T Challenge want to see anniversary cards..
Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog wants us to use punches..
Quirky Crafts want us to use numbers
Raise the Bar have an anything goes challenge on - and I really think I did raise the bar on this one!  This is nto a style I have tried before and I am quite chuffed with how it turned out.

Thanks for popping by

Aud Sentiments - Christmas Challenge

Phew - how hot is this weather?  It seems so strange to be making a Christmas card in this heat!  But yes, that is the challenge over at Aud Sentiments this time - to be more accurate, its to use the words "Merry Christmas".

For this next challenge we welcome back Stamping Boutique.
Now I dont normally give out information about the company or designers but I just needed to mention that Tracey, the owner and designer, has a husband, 3 teenagers, 5 mini-dachshunds and a horse!!!!  WOW!!!!!

They are also giving the winner 3 digis of their choice.

So - here is my card.....

Close up on that image - I find these secular images so useful for Christmas.

Just need to mention this frame though....it is cut on my ecraft!  I am just always so pleased with how well it cuts - I dont know what I expect, but I just very rarely have a fail on it!
I have to confess that I had this image in my files and I can't remember whose it was - I think it MAY have been Julie Flannagan's from the yahoo MTC group - but, huge apologies if that's not right!

So, thats me for today, please pop over and see the design team's wonders today - and why not join in the challenge - such an open and easy one!

Back from Hols! AND a DT CALL!

Have just had the most lovely week away - in Wales!  AND, I got sunburn - not what you would expect from that part of the country.

Just thought I would pop on and remind people that Delicious Doodles have a DT call on at the moment!  Just click on the link in my sidebar to go to the challenges blog.

One gorgeous view - from the top of Mount Snowdon!

Thanks for popping by today - now, just need to deal with all the emails at work/urgent stuff and then can get back to my crafty fun!
