Organisor - diddy!

You must have seen those tiny coin envelopes, right?  Well, I was going to make a little brag book or something out of them and then I decided on a teeny organisor - kind of a to-do list!

My friend at work, is also branching out into wedding organising and has asked me to help out with a couple of things - so I thought this might be something really nice to give to the bride-to-be so that she can keep pertinent details in it from her wedding - dress fittings, colour swatches etc etc.  She could then store it with her wedding album etc as a memory of the run-up to a wedding!

I didnt get very good pics of it - but the stamp is from Stampin Up and I embossed it in gold.  It doesnt show up very well, but it does shine nicely!  I then laminated the front and back covers, to make them durable!

I then just used the Stampin Up scallop punch on the inserts

Thought the whole thing could be matched to the bride's wedding colours.  But for now, its mine, all mine!

thanks for popping by - hope you are having a fabby bank holiday!

Aud Sentiments - Sentiment for a man

Well, we had lots of fun with this one in our house!  We were very lucky to pick an image from Digis with Attitude and I picked this lion!  He just made me chuckle!  We then sat round trying to think up sentiments for him (that were suitable for a man!).

I had 3 sheets of this old Stampin Up paper (just little sheets) and wanted to use the same paper and layout for all the cards.  The image on the one above is "Happy Father's Day to the MANE man"...believe me, they get worse!

This one says "Someone just tickled me behind my ears, and I'm still meant to wish you Happy Birthday??"

and this one says "King of the Jungle and they want to call me Tiddles!  Happy Birthday anyway....errr roar!"

...and then I ran out of paper - only had those 3 sheets to start with - so I just used the offcuts for this final card - think this sentiment was the most cringy..."No, no, no.  I said I wanted a lie-in for my Birthday!"

Yes, they are all corny - but we had a giggle sitting around making them up!

Thanks for popping by today - I really look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Josh's other birthday cards!

Well, I showed Josh's card with the Kenny K image on...so here are another couple I had to make him....

the first was from my mum - I used a Dustin Pike image for this one - had it in mind to use for a while!

I then remembered this image from Bugaboo and thought I had to use that one too! - I didnt have another person to make the card from - so I made it from....Pickles and Popcorn (the cats), Gramarian and Yoda (the guinea pigs), Gwim Weaper (the lizard - say it out loud, it works better!), Da Beast (really cute and fluffy hamster), Cat Treat (a rescued hamster), Mina (rescue bunny) and Pleco and pals (fish).

I really enjoyed colouring in both of these images - they took a bit of doing, but they were great fun!

Couple of Kenny K cards!

I love that I can use Kenny K for my "men's cards".  Talk about the two extremes today....I made one for a 60 year old and one for an 11 year old (my son!), both using the same image.

Quite funny really - neither of them would be able to have her (if she were real!) - one too old and one waaaaay too young (my baby dont forget!).

Delicious Doodles - Let the sun shine!

When Teri did this image I really loved it! - and I love it even more now it is coloured!

The wooden frame is a separate image - so I just shoved the two together so I did some incredibly difficult combining in inkscape and ended up with the pic in a frame!

I then got to thinking how like a picture on a wall it looked - so thats what I did with it!  Well, in card form!  Talk about make do and mend...my son had bought a toy dart gun and the "string" came from that - knew it would come in handy!!!

Oh - and sorry this post was late up today - I usually either schedule them or put them up in the morning before work - but Josh had a Tudor day today and he was the jester ... typecast!  Obviously, this meant a bit of faffing - spraying hair red, facepaints etc.....

Oooo - forgot to say that our theme over at Delicious Doodles is "Let the sun shine", so anything summery!

Get Well Soon

I used this image a few weeks ago for an Aud Sentiments Challenge, so when a friend asked me to do a get well card for a male friend of hers I knew exactly which image to reach for....

I did lots of faux stitching on the card, although this doesnt show up in the photo very well.  Also, in case you cant read it...the sentiment says...."Heard you'd damaged your achilles - thought she could help with your limp..."...yes, its cheeky, but you should have heard some of the other options we came up with!

Aud Sentiments - NO sentiment

Well, I waited and waited - but it didnt arrive - the post I was missing of course (there is another one missing too, but this was most important).  Aud Sentiments Challenge this fortnight is to produce something with NO Sentiment.  This was a reasonably easy for me - its actually harder for me to put a sentiment onto things!

We got to pick whatever we wanted from Digi Chick they do a great mix of things including templates...so this is what I picked!

The Stamps are from Stampin Up - and, of course, I had to "stage" the photo with the addition of sweeties.  Which were swiftly dealt with as soon as the photo was taken!  I now have a very pretty, but very empty, sweetie dispenser!

Thanks for popping by today - I hope to get to see some of your entries over at Aud's Sentiments

I thought it was all meant to be restored....

Funny how people see you differently isnt it?  Most people say I am really patient and tolerate alot of messing about....my family and I know that I am most definitely NOT....but I was doing so well the last few days with Blogger.

I read the information about the system rollback and thought it wasnt a big deal at all - well, not for me personally (might have thought differently if I had some sort of commercial need!).  I am very much in the "oh well, these things happen" brigade.

I saw people's concerns and, in some cases, panic.  I stayed calm and patient....they say they are going to restore all the deleted posts, so no need to worry!  Then, this morning, I read that they had restored all deleted posts and it was business as usual....what???  The only sites they said would take longer were those with heavy content (mine is most certainly not one of those sites!lol).

I am still being patient...although now I am having to work at it!

I really appreciate Blogger - it's free, it works great (most of the time!) and I get on well with it.  I STILL really appreciate Blogger - these things happen.  I am going to hang on a couple more days to see if the posts I had up will suddenly reappear...if not, I will redo them - and I will still love Blogger (just perhaps not quite as much!).

Just thought I would post this up quickly in case you were wondering why I hadnt posted anything new recently!

Thanks for popping over and I hope your blogs all restored ok!

40th Card on my ecraft

This was a real last second make!  I was going away and suddenly remembered a birthday while I was away, so set to quickly make a card.

I used the ecraft to cut out the numbers, bit of glitter, some scalloped paper and bling.  It was quick, but sufficient!

Thanks for looking

Another sympathy card

My colleague at work lost a very close friend last week.  I didnt want to do her a "normal" sympathy card as I didnt know the lady who died and didnt want to appear insincere - so I did her this card.  Used Stampin Up (still playing!) and really like how it came out - these are so quick to put together!

The sentiment says "If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies".  Hope she likes it.

Here is my card....

And here is what you might win if you win the challenge....

I am sponsoring this challenge, so put together a little selection of bits and bobs - some paper, glittery things, rubber etc.   Then I decided that I would like my followers to get something out of it too....so if the winner of the challenge is also a follower of my blog then I will add a few more bits to the package!  So, if you want to be up for a chance to win this little package, hop on over to Delicious Doodles and join in their challenge today!
